Getting Started

How do I add my first card?
After logging in, head to the Inventory tab and click + Add Card. Fill in the card details — name, year, set, and grading status — and hit Save. Your card will appear immediately.
Can I import my existing inventory from a spreadsheet?
Yes. On the Inventory tab, click Import CSV. Download the template, fill it with your data, and upload it. We'll map the columns and import your cards in bulk. Excel (.xlsx) files are also accepted.
What grading companies are supported?
PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, HGA, CSG, and GMA. You can also mark cards as Raw (ungraded) or Submitted (sent but not returned). If your grader isn't listed, let us know below.
How do I track a card I've sold?
Find the card in your Inventory table, change its status to Sold, and enter the sale price. The card stays for record-keeping and the profit immediately reflects in your P&L.

Account & Billing

How do I change my password?
Go to Account Settings in the app sidebar. Under Change Password, enter your new password twice and click Update. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password? on the login page.
What's included in the Free plan?
The Free plan gives you up to 10 cards, full P&L tracking, Expenses logging, and 5 Comp Lookups per day. It's free forever — no credit card required. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited cards and eBay Sync.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Account Settings → Your Plan → Manage Subscription. You can cancel anytime and retain access through the end of your billing period.
I didn't receive a confirmation email after signing up.
Check your spam folder for an email from noreply@hobbymetrics.io. Still nothing? Try signing in at login.html — if your email is recognized the account exists. Otherwise, sign up again or contact us below.

Inventory

What does "Submitted" status mean?
Submitted means the card is at a grading company and hasn't been returned yet. Once returned, update the status to Graded and add the grade. This keeps in-transit cards separate from those in hand.
Can I add notes to individual cards?
Yes — the Notes column in the inventory table is fully editable. Click any Notes cell to add free text: pop report info, condition details, consignment notes, etc.
How is cost basis calculated?
Cost basis is what you enter as Purchase Price. We recommend logging grading fees and shipping separately in the Expenses tab to keep your P&L clean and auditable.

Comp Lookup

Where does comp data come from?
Comp data is pulled from recent eBay sold listings — the same source most serious collectors use. Results show the last 90 days of completed sales with low/avg/high breakdowns.
How specific should my search be?
As specific as possible. Include year, brand, set, card number, and grade — e.g. "2017 Prizm Mahomes #269 PSA 10". The more detail, the more accurate your results.

eBay Sync

How does eBay Sync work?
Once connected, HobbyMetrics pulls your recent sold listings and matches them to cards in your inventory. Matched sales auto-update the card status to Sold and record the sale price.
eBay Sync isn't connecting — what do I do?
eBay Sync is currently in beta. If you're on Pro or Business and can't connect, send us a message below with your account email and we'll enable it manually.

Data & Privacy

Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is stored in Supabase (SOC 2 Type II) with row-level security — only you can access your data. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I export my data?
Yes — use Export CSV in the Inventory tab anytime. You own your data.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Or email privacy@hobbymetrics.io and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.
